I am looking at a 1998 Dodge Ram SLT extended cab with 85,000 miles on it. It is in excellent condition, one owner whom I know personally, no scratches, dents, perfect cloth interior, diesel truck, white in color. Very nice truck. However, the miles concern me a lot. Is it worth it to buy a used car with that much mileage on it? Should I expect things to go wrong by the time it gets close to 100,000? Are Dodge Ram Diesel trucks reliable over 100,000 miles and more importantly, if I try to sell it in a few years will it be difficult with the mileage? I want to make a wise decision and not jump in now because it's in great shape and then regret it later. Thanks!

Being a diesel Ram have no worry about the miles i have known many to go beyond 300k
I like the fact you know the owner personally if you trust your friend you will know all about the truck first hand
The truck will always have good re-sale value being a Diesel thats a bonus
From reading your mail i like the truck and whom your buying from...it now comes down to price ?...google autotrader.com or edmonds.com submit your zip and check for fair price in your area
