Tips on Buying Cars: Selling a car, mercury cougar, selling a car

I have been trying to sell my car for 7 months. I have placed ads in local newspapers and also online. But I can't seem to get any calls on it. My car is a 2001 mercury cougar with 45,000 and I am asking $10,000 or best offer. It is in very good condition. Do you have any pointers when it comes to selling a car. I need to sell it as soon as possible. Do car dealerships buy used car from consumers? Is this the way to go?

I looked up your zip code and at 25 miles i found no listings in autotrader.com, i had to go 200 miles from your zip code to find listings...are you living in a remote area...your asking price is in line with dealers...have you advertised with autotrader.com ?...i would like to see a copy of your add...and at same time tell me what is your last price...As for the dealer buying it will be wholesale and not the way to go unless your trading up to something else
