Hi
I am in the process of buying a BMW 520 1990.
I live in Lagos, Nigeria and the car was imported from Europe.
Please advise on the things i can look out for on the car in order to avoid any unforseen mechanical or electrical problem.

Secondly the manual was lost in transit. Please suggest how i can lay my hands on another copy.

Thank you.

I would NOT purchase a 15 year old BMW......You are looking for nothing but problems, electricly as well as structurally! GOOD LUCK!

Hi,
Parts are hard to come by in the states...where will you get replacemant parts if needed? Water pumps and alternators tend to go, can you not only get the parts but do you have someone to fix them? I hate to play devils advocate, but the car is 15 years old, even sound japanese cars like toyota and honda have problems when they are that old...I am not telling you NOT to purchase but you should see some of the pitfalls.....Good luck and e-mail me if i can help further!
