Tips on Buying Cars: Buying Used Car, rebuildable cars, chrysler sebring

Question
I was looking at a 98 Chrysler Sebring, the car is at a place that sells rebuildable cars.  The car is listed as a flood vehicle.  The pictures they have do not show any damage, but the title is noted as salvage.  They say the car runs and drives.  What kind of problems could this vehicle have.  I'm only looking for a car for commuting to work (100+ miles/day).  This Sebring has 46K and if it runs without problems I would be able to keep the car for a long time.

Answer
Hi brian
If you bought a wood chair that you knew all 4 legs were broken at one point but now glued together...how safe would you feel sitting on it?

That Brian is salvage...

Look for a vehicle within your budget and if your not sure about it have a mechanic check it out for being road worthy...
I dont care how much money you save or how good it looks...the title on ownership will say it all...SALVAGE...

I would hitch-hike before buying a Salvage...
