Tips on Buying Cars: buying car, jagures, good cars

Hi,
  I have been looking around for a car and I am surprised that Saabs and Jagures from the early l990's are so cheap, even the ones that look like new and the owners say they are in perfect condition.  I am talking about $2000.  Are they good cars to purchase?

They are great cars, when they are running.  They are very expensive to maintain and service and have many more problems than domestic or oriental cars.  If you can do a lot of the work yourself or know a GOOD inexpensive mechanic the joy of owning an early car, especially a Jag, is well worth the effort.  Best of luck, Bud
