Tips on Buying Cars: 1st Car, c d player, transmission problems

Hey Rob,

I'm fixing to buy my first car and I don't really know what I should get for my budget and my taste.  I recently looked at a 1996 Black Maxima loaded with black leather, C.D. Player, sunroof, ECT.  It was only $4,300 but it had some transmission problems.  This is the kind of car I want a sporty Black car loaded with leather.  My budget is around $5,000.

Do you know of any other cars that match my description?  Or are the Maxima's about the only ones like that under my budget?  Thanks for your Time!

That is a hard question. There are plenty of cars in that range you just need to see each one. Every car has been driven different by differnet owners so ther is now way to guagewhich one would be better. The one thing I will tell you is to stay away from the vehicle with trans problems. You coulbuy it for $4,300.00 anthen need to put a trans in it for well over $2,500.00 makes no sense to me! Keep looking and get frinedly with a local gas station to have them go over any of your prospective purchases! I hope this helps! Please rate my answer!
