Tips on Buying Cars: selling a car for parts or the whole thing, civic dx, donating a vehicle

i have a 91 civic DX in bad shape. How should  I go about selling it? Donating it for a write off? To a mechanic/junkyard for parts? I feel a moral responsibility to not have someone endure the hell of this car.

Rob, you certainly have the right attitude about your old vehicle and not wanting someone to suffer with it.  A salvage yard will probably not give you much for it.  Donating a vehicle is always a good deal if the current book value is enough to make a worthwhile deduction.  I would talk to my tax person for advice for this.  Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck.  Bud
