Tips on Buying Cars: simple car, kiewel, great shape

Are elderly couple happilly driving 93 Taurus in great shape with 50K- less than 5K pr yr in N. MN.
For vanity want to move up to 02 or 03. Tried several but are totally imtimidated by comlex controls with lights, temp, etc out of out control and pre sets can't be disabled.Want SIMPLER controls and few bells or whisltles to again drive 5K/yrK pr year. In other words another 93 Taurus but NEW.Bill Kiewel.
