Tips on Buying Cars: cars, entry level models, bells and whistles

Question
Are very elderly couple driving 93 Taurus in great shape with 50K. Never drive over 5k per year but for vanity want to move to 02 or 03 anything. Tried, Like 03 Buick Regal but totally  intimidated by controls with lights, wipers, temp, fixed and pre-set and cannot be disabled. Want same sedan with simple controls, few bells and whistles like Taurus to use 5K pr. Hve tried several but same complaint. Any ideas?

Wow ...a 93 with 50k...thats a diamond, to bad your tired of it, got many miles left...well Bill its your money and if you must i hope you pass it on to a family member...a dealer will never pay what i think its worth...
Now you tried Buick Regal thats an upscale if you like Buick...there is a lower model with less options ( century )...or how about Fords...Suzuki... base pontiac grand am...entry level models they come very plain and about same size as yous...a bit smaller then its Cavalier and sunfire but then your into 4 cyl...
And now my choice if i was to buy a small 6 cyl with room like a Taurus, great on gas and insurance...Malibu base model...
