Tips on Buying Cars: Used 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, chevrolet malibu ls, first time car buyer

Question
I am a first time car buyer looking to buy a used 2002 Chevrolet Malibu LS Sedan from a local Hyundai dealership. This car has 98,000 miles on it, and is priced at $6,686. I looked at the carfax, and there were no accidents to report, and it was well maintained getting checkups every 6 months or so. Would this be a good buy, or should I keep looking?

Answer
Pierce:Thanks for the question. It really depends on how long you intend keeping it.My suggestion is consider a lower mile car for reason of maintance costs. And if you paying cash, think about financing, perhaps a Hyundai? This way YOU have a warranty. To answer the second question, yes I would. On the other hand,if you like the car and it checks out buy it!
