Tips on Buying Cars: a car that was in the purchasing process, check stubs, mileage charges

I went to purchase a car I took the dealer everything that was required as well as down payment dealer said that i was approved for the loan but then said after receiving down payment taxes on check stubs wasn't right but i got a letter from the IRS a year ago saying lesser taxes will be taken which i told them both of jobs are verifiable now they saying need for voided checks from the job that they bank send back to them my job said no cause that don't change the taxes and that's against they privacy policy so am i entitled to my down payment 0f 1800.00 the dealer keep saying bring the money you was going to give the bank to them and they will apply to my down payment

Thanks for your question, and sorry about the delay in answering.  The dealership is required, if they are backing out of the loan, to refund you 100% of your down payment, minus any mileage charges or rental fees that would have been disclosed on a form called Conditional Sales and Delivery Agreement.  If you did not sign that form, or it was not filled out with all of the charges on it, then they have to give you back 100% of your down payment.
