Tips on Buying Cars: values, rv business, nada

Question
Hi, Thank you for being available to answer questions, I appreciate it. This may be a little unusual but I feel very important. I am researching and contemplating purchasing a RV, and am wondering how accurate the NADA book is on them or for that matter cars. I know in a declining or bad market like we are in that NADA as well as other publications can be highly inaccurate. Any idea, or suggestions on where to find out?

Answer
Bill,

Thanks for your question.  NADA is not as inaccurate as you might think.  Is it dead on, NO, but it will give you a good idea to start from.  The best thing I can tell you, since I am not in the RV business is to do your research on edmunds.com, nada.com, and look on rvtrader.com to see what they are selling for, and then see what the seller will sell you the vehicle for and make the decision at that point if it is worth it to you.

Wish I could be of more help.

Thanks - JB
