Today I was approved at dealer then realized I actually want to shop at another. Can I cancel out approval and reapply at another without hurting credit?

To answer your question quickly, YES.  The dealer may try and tell you no, but yes you can.  The approval is usually good for 30 days at that dealership. Every dealership will have to approve you separately which will be fine.  It won't hurt your credit enough to make a difference unless you start going from dealership to dealership.  Make sure that you find the vehicle that you want and agree on everything before they pull your credit.
