Tips on Buying Cars: 2003 HOnda Accord - price negotiation, price negotiation, honda accord

Question
Hi Ray...I'm looking at buying a 2003 Accord coupe (ex-L). It's certified pre-owned and despite being 5 years old, it only has 47,000 miles. The list price is $16,595, but I'm not sure where I should start negotiating. Ideally I'd like to pay $14,500 or so all-in (title, tax, etc.) but is that unrealistic? If not, where should I start the negotiation?

Answer
Hi Jess

When you asked this question you missed the area where I request a zip or postal code, I therefore cant make a comment whats a fair price for your area, go to this link on my website  http://www.usedcartips.org/fairprice.html  you will get an idea how a dealer mark up inventory.

As for negotiations it comes down to a little study on your part, navigate on the website to " how dealer negotiate " and " how you negotiate "

There is nothing wrong with your negotiation starting point, knowing when to stop will be the key, study the links I provided and if your not sure about something feel free to make further contact.

Good Luck

Ray
