Tips on Buying Cars: Buying a New Car, buying a new car, money study

Question
I heard that one negotiating method is to tell the salesperson you'll give him/her $200 under the table to get the best deal possible (assuming of course that you've done your homework well on pricing). Do you think this is a good idea? Will it work?

Thx

Answer
Hi Paul

Having answered thousand of questions in forum's yours is a fresh one never been asked before, it's a good one and made me think back that it did happen a few times to me, the short answer is DONT, a sharp salesperson will simply include the money as an extra bonus.

The salesperson works on a commission and dont have the final say on price, for you to include a bonus is a total waste of your money, study how the process works is the key, go to my website    http://www.usedcartips.org/  and navigate to  " how dealers negotiate " and " how you negotiate " for a better understanding.

I like to comment on the subject line " Buying a New Car " but am not sure if a new car to you is buying new or used ?
