Tires: using I/T (snow tires) in hot terrain, mitsubishi pajero, lahore pakistan

Question
Dear Barry,
I recently imported one (SUV) Mitsubishi Pajero (98-Exceed) from Japan. The issue is to my surprise once I received the suv, its fitted with 265/70R15 tires that too snow terrain (I/T yokohama geolandar). My concern is that the part of world I am in is climatically very hot, temperature reaches around 45 deg celcius occassionally during summer. Roads ofcourse are heated up in summer, while the winters too are not that cold with very limited snow in certain parts of the country, mostly there is virtually no snow.
The question is what probably could be the disadvantages/ drawbacks associated to using a snow terrain tire in a hot terrain, can I continue using them or have them changed with some all season H/T or A/T tire. I am thinking to have them changed but ofcourse your advice will play an importain role in making a decision.

Regards,

Answer
Faisal,

Snow tires are thoroughly incompatible with the high temperatures you mentioned.  Because Winter tires are compounded for lower temperatures, they are more prone to tire failure at high temperatures, not to mention the wear will be terrible.

I would recommend you replace those tires as soon as possible.
