Tires: tire sizes, tire size calculator, static conditions

Question
I have 2006 honda  accord, presently with 205 60 16s bro in law has  a good set of 215 65 16 s  will these   fit with no  problems ?
I think physically they  will, but  my tire size calculator  suggests approximately 1.7 inches taller, will  this  affect  any of the   electronics?   abs, etc. i know the  speedo will read a little  slower.
Thanks, Frank

Answer
Frank,

According to Discount Tire, a 215/65R16 will rub.  It might not look like it under static conditions, but you have to consider that the worst condition is when the steering is fully turned and the suspension completely collapsed - and i=the car happens to reach that under high speed, the car could rip the tire open and very bad things could result.
