Tires: tire size, 2005 saturn vue, saturn vue

Hi there, I have a 2005 saturn vue 6 cylinder that takes 235-60-17 tires.  I saw an ad for 4 rims and tires that is supposed to fit my saturn but they are 225-60-16.  can i use these tires and rims. thank you.  Kathy

Those would not have enough load carrying capacity and that becomes risky for a load related tire failure - which sometimes has tragic results.  

You should make sure the tires you buy have at least the load carrying capacity of the originals.  the easy way to do that is to look for the Load Index.  It is the numbers that follow the size:  P235/60R17 100S - the "100" being the Load Index.
