Tires: tire size, 2007 honda odyssey, odyssey van

Question
Our 2007 Odyssey van takes R225 70 R16.  Can I mount my snow tires from our
old 2002 Odyssey van R225 60 R 16?  The snow tires have very low miles.

Or, should I buy separate wheel for the snow tires?

Answer
Dear Patrick,
Thank you for using AllExperts.
Let's compare the overall diameter of the two tire sizes that you have mentioned: (I don't recognize the 'R' description in your e-mail, so I'm assuming it's a 'P').
P225/70R16 = 28.43" (highway traction)
P225/60R16 = 26.61" (highway traction)
...1.82" difference.
This diameter difference is well outside of the (tire) industry guideline for replacement tires, not to mention that the 225/60 tires don't have nearly enough load capacity for your 2007 Honda Odyssey, thus presenting a potential safety hazard (tire failure) down the road.  Don't do it.
