will a jeep Dayton M/T 30x9.5x15" fit a 198 chevy s-10 pickup? i have 15" tires on it presently.

Fitting tires and rims to vehicles is very complex.  It's not only about load carrying capacity, but also about clearing the bodywork and frame - as well as the brake components.  

I just don't have access to the measurements that are needed to be sure you are given good guidance.  Not to mention that wheel offset must be considered.  In other words, it's a package.

Tire Rack and Discount Tire both do these measurements and are aware of what fits and what doesn't.  Plus they also pay attention to load carrying capacity.

I recommend you consult their web sites and follow their recommendations.
