Tires: tire size question, 2007 honda crv, tire placard

Question
I've got an '07 crv and need new tires.I've asked around for an225/70/r17s but almost nobody has that size. If i get a225/75/r17 will they be too bigond/or rub on the wheel well (the original size is 225/65/r17)

Answer
Alex,

According to Tire rack, a 2007 Honda CRV takes a 225/65R17 - and they list 30 different tires, which sounds like plenty of options and at the very least, someone ought to be able to order you a set of tires in that size.

First, find the vehicle tire placard. It is usually on a doorpost or in the glove box.  It will list the original tire size and the proper pressure for that size.

Post back if the placard says something different than that.
