Tires: Tires, acura tsx, wrong direction

Question
Hello,
I am buying two new tires and have a 2004 Acura TSX - not sure if its all wheel drive or front wheel.  The two back tires are still pretty good...can last another winter...now...should I put the two new ones on the front and keep the back the way they are or put them on the back?  I keep hearing different things.  The front of the car goes down a bit ( of course thats the engine) but with the TSX they do slant down in the front.  I would think the two new tires would go on the front.  What do you think?  I think I would feel safer with the tires on the front also.

Answer
Peggy,

There's no problem until you lose grip.

If you lose grip in the front, when you slow down and the grip comes back, you'll be pointed in the right direction and can manuever around what ever is ahead.

If you lose grip in the rear, when you slow down and the grip comes back, you'll be pointed in the wrong direction and will not be able to avoid what the car is headed for (or more precisely, backing into).

The best tires should go on the rear.
