Tires: Fitting Tires to Rims, honda civic cx, canadiantire ca

Question
Hello - Will 82T tires fit on 82S rims?  I'm looking at these rims (with the 4-100 bolt pattern for my 96 Honda Civic CX Hatchback) http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/1/TiresRims/RimsWinter/PRDOVR~00961... which I read somewhere are 82S (whatever that means)

And these winter tires http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/1/TiresRims/WinterTires/PRDOVR~0031... in the 175/70R13 82T size.

Thank you :)

Answer
Michael,

Unfortunately, Canadian Tire didn't do a very good job of explaining tire sizing, Load Index, Speed Rating, and Service Description.

But Tire Rack did and here's what they said about Service Description:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=35

So, the 82S and 82T have nothing to do with the rim, and are only a description of the load carrying capacity and speed limitation of the tire.

But from what you've posted, I don't see any problems, but if you have further questions, it might be best to contact Canadian Tire.
