Tires: tire size, trailer specs, case condition

Question
I have bought a horse trailer that need new tires.  I call and got the trailer specs and they said that the trailer was built with 7.50/16 LR E tires.  The Rim size 16" X 6".  What would the tire size be now?

Answer
Robert,

LT215/85R16 Load Range E, but the tire has slightly less load carrying capacity and caution is urged.  If you have the opportunity, you should weigh the trailer fully loaded (worst case condition) - tire by tire if possible, axle by axle at a minimum.

Also, if there is 1/2" side clearance, an LT235/85R16 would be a better choice.
