Tires: tire pressure 99 miata 215 40 r16, proper inflation pressure, goodyear tires

I have a 99 mazda miata that I have upgraded.to 215 40 R16 goodyear tires. I would like to know the proper inflation pressure. GVW is.around 2500.

A 1999 Miata came originally with P185/60R14's or P195/50R15's inflated to 26 psi front and rear.

In order to match the original load carrying capacity, a 215/40R16 has to have ...... well, the same.  But since this is such a low aspect ratio, you might want to add some pressure to give a little more protection for the rims - say 3 psi.
