Tires: V rated tires or not, 2005 toyota avalon, toyota avalon

Question
QUESTION: Getting ready to put new tires on a 2005 Toyota Avalon. been a Michelin fan for a long time. Was told by two tire dealers that this car needed V rated tires or best handling, etc. V rated tires cost lot more than H rated. I only know what I have read about the speed rating of V rated vs H rated. I'll never drive that fast anyway. Just wondered if based on your opinion do you think I will be able to tell must of a difference in the ride and handling of V rated vs H rated tires?

Thanks

ANSWER: Tony,

Read this:

That will tell you I do not recommend using lower than an H rating.

Answer
Tony,

I guess it is somewhat hidden in there.

But the variability of handling is high between tires.  So depending on how much handling they've dialed into tires on your Avalon, and how good you are at sensing this sort of thing and how the tires you chose are designed, you could range from no perception of change to absolutely huge.  So if this is important to you, I'd be careful what I chose.
