Tires: any reccomendations winter time tires, toyota corolla, winter tires

Question
Hello Brett I am about to buy some new tires form my 1998 Toyota corolla VE its FWD and a P185/65R14 the car is stock and has no alterations I was thinking about getting some Michelin destinys but im not sure about how they do in snow and ice the reviews seem to be mixed can you tell me if these are good tires or make a recommendation for me any help is appreciated thank you

Answer
Seth,

I am not a fan of the Michelin products for various reasons. Since winter tires are generally short term in use, a more cost effective tire rated A/S or M+S should deliver acceptable winter performance. I would look into the Toyo or Cooper lines.
