Tires: Dodge Dual Rear Wheels, dual rear wheels, dually rims

Question
Tires: Dodge Dual Rear Wheels, dual rear wheels, dually rims
Rear of R/V taken in 2
We have a 2000 Pleasureway R/V.  It is a full-sized Ram 3500 van conversion with single tires in the rear.  The handling on these Class B rigs is notoriously odd in wind.  I believe that it is due to the large air conditioning unit on the roof, and the full length fiberglass top - very heavy.  We have considered replacing the rear end with a Dodge dually rear end of the same vintage.  Have you ever heard of such a thing?  We recently saw an identical rig as ours recently with rear duals, but we have no idea how they did it.  Our preference is to modify the existing rear axles to accommodate Dodge dually rims, but I haven't found anyone that has done that.  Any information you can provide will be very helpful!  Thank you.

Answer
Patrick,

Since the chassis is that of a 3500 the conversation to duals should be relatively simple.  A Dodge dealer would most likely have this info and access to the parts.  Keep in mind that fender modifications will have to be made in order to accomindate the extra width.  No doubt that with a dual set up your ride will be much more stable in all conditions.
