Tires: Follow-up to One of Your Recent Answers, toyo versado lx, safe car

Question
Brett,

I saw your recommendation of the Toyo Versado LX, Bridgestone Serenity and Cooper CS-4 to a Grand Prix owner on this board (09/18).  Those happen to be the exact three tires that I have narrowed down to for my wife's Mazda5.  Can you give any more insight into your recommendations?

Our Mazda has 26,000 on it and the OEM Toyos are absolutely loud.  We just bought the car, so I have no idea of the rotation history (or lack of).  I am loking for a quiet, smooth riding and safe car for my wife (and kids) with a decent amount of all-season capability.

Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Paul

Answer
Paul,

Unfortunately OE tires are not the same animal as after market tires, there are differences that are to in-depth to go into.

Without seeing the tires it's hard to speculate on the cause of the noise.  A guess, the tires are cupping from insufficient rotation.

The Toyo Versado LX, without any reservation, would be my personal choice to meet your criteria.
