Tires: do speed ratings on tire need to match, bridgestone potenza re960, 2003 honda odyssey

Question
Barry,
Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am in need of 2 tires on my 2003 Honda Odyssey.  I currently have 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS 225/60/R16's.  I just noticed however, that one of my newer tires is a 98W and the others are 98T's.  This tire was replaced due to a flat.  I plan on getting 2 98T's installed on the back, but am wondering if I need replace the W upfront with a T as well which then puts me in a 4 new tire position.  Did I get duped as well when I let the W get by me?

Thanks a lot,
Cheryl

Answer
Cheryl,

Yes, it's not a good idea to have an odd tire on the vehicle.  But I suspect that the problem was that Bridgestone produced RE960's in both T and W ratings and the tire shop didn't know that and didn't notice that speed rating on the old tires.
