Tires: T rated v/s V rated, honda accord ex, performance enhancement

Question
Hi, I have an Honda Accord EX sedan (6 cyl). My car has a mileage of 84,000 miles. I have been recommended to change my tires as the tread value has decreased to 3/32. At present I have H rated tires, and I have been intially told to get V rated, but now they are suggesting V rated. I am not able to understand which is helpful for my car. Could you please help me

Answer
Tanvi,

I believe you are asking me which speed rating is better suited for your vehicle.  If this is the case then I would suggest the "H" speed rating.

If you have been happy with the performance and ride of your present tires then I can't see any use in changing to a "V" rated tire.  V-rated tires will deliver significantly less tire life. Ask yourself this, are you willing to pay a higher price for minimal performance enhancement and less tire life.
