Tires: Replace tyre size, tyre size, toyota matrix

I have a Toyota Matrix 2007 with tyres P205/55R16. I would like to replace them with P185/65R15 used on Corolla. Are there any implecation in the change.

I hope you realize that 15" tires do not fit on 16" rims - so you would have to purchase rims - and I don't know if they will fit on the vehicle - I suspect they will not clear the brakes.

But further, this would result in a lower load carring capacity - and that's a bad idea since this increases the risk of load related tire failures.

I recommend you do not do this.
