Tires: mixing tires, directional tires, tire rotation

QUESTION: front tires are regular tires 205 50 17 i want to put directional tires on rear .  is it ok to do the car is an all wheel drive. tu john

ANSWER: If I understand you question right, you want to install directional tires.

As long as the directional tires are on correct, it does not matter if you use them or not.

Directional tires  only effect your tire rotation.  You will only have side to side option with directional tires.

QUESTION: sorry maybe u dont understand me. I have regular tires on the front. S0 ill be mixing the tires, regular tires on the front axle and 2 dierctioal tires on the rear axle,is this ok tu john

Yes, As I said, As long as the directional tires are on correct, it does not matter if you use them or not.

You can have two reg. tires on the front and two directional tires on the back.  As long as you are staying with the OEM tire size.

The only things you have to watch for is, Make sure the directional tires are on correct.  The second is you have to do tire rotation side to side then.
