Tires: aspect ratios, aspect ratios, winter tires

I have a 2005 cavalier with stock P195 70R14 tires and have found a really good deal on winter tires that are sized P195 60R14 and i would like to know if I can change?? If it is possible does it change any speedometer or odometer reeadings?

There are several resons not to do this - speedometer error, lower ride height, but the primary reason not to do this is that the load carrying capacity has gone down - and that may lead to an overloaded failure - which can sometimes have tragic results.

The tire size you current have - P195/70R14 - is so very popular, you should be able to find bargains in this size.
