QUESTION: it is a
chevy g20 van
hard top
lt235/75/r15
it was six (3 rows of sets 2/2/folding bed)
thanks for the help.
ANSWER: Ok.  Is it a G20 or a G20HD?  ( Sorry, forgot this question ).
What weight if any are you hauling?
Any reason why you are using LT tires, or just what you bought?
You haul any weight or just drive around town?
What is the max PSI on the side of the tire.
From what I am reading in my book, I am finding
P235/75R15 = 35psi.  ( size is pending if it is a HD or not )
LT235/75R15 = 50psi.  (
So in order to tell you what to use and to make sure you do not go over the max tire psi for safety, I will need some last questions answered.

QUESTION: to the best of my knowlege it is just g20
notmaly i just drive around town with it with a light lode(say 300lbs). but i will also use it to move heavy loads now and again.
lt is pritty much just what i bought. (i was going to go on bad roads and needed 3 ply)
it says 50 psi cold as the max.

Answer
Ok, if this is a standard G20 1986, the OEM size would be P225/75R15 at 35psi.  However, If you are running the LT235/75R15  the psi is 50psi.  Just check all fenders and suspension components for proper cleance.
So to answer your question, 50psi.

The reason I asked you for the max psi, is because I did not want to tell you 50psi if the tire could not hold it.

Remember, never go over the max psi listed on the tire.

Hope this hopes,
John
