Tires: tread wear goodyear wrangler 275 70R18pro, goodyear wrangler, ford f350

I purchased 2 of the above mentioned tires for the rear of my 2006 ford f350, I pull a gooseneck trailor with approximatley 1200 lbs weight on the truck. the tires have 7100 miles and went from 17/32's to 10/32's one tire had a air bubble on the sidewall I took it in for waranty and that is when I found out I would have to pay with changing  $135. I feel that based on the tread wear for 7100 miles I'll be lucky to get 14000 miles on these premium tires. Is it just me or are other people having this wear problem with this tire  Thank You for Your help  Bob

First I can not comment on brand specific issues because I work for a major tire manufacturer.

Second, I suspect the dealer involved "fudged" a bit on the tread wear.  OR I suspect you may have had a tire that was not adjustable and the dealer gave to a break, rather than have you pay 100%.
