Tires: changing out tires, low profile tires, honda civic ex coupe

Question
I have a 99 honda civic ex coupe.  Have ruff Racing 17" rims with kumho 711 205/40/r17 80 tires.  I've grown tired of low profile tires.  Can I use the same rims and but different tires for a more comfortable ride?  If so, what size tires would work with my rims?  One of the rims is slightly dent, but the tire has never lost air.  Just don't have the cash to buy all new tires and rims.  Thanks

Answer
Piper,

I have both bad news and good news for you.

The bad news is you will have to replace the rims.  The good news is that if you go to a junkyard....er....auto recyling center, they will probably have a set of OE rims for you that are fairly inexpensive.  You can sell the old set on eBay and probably break even.

The original tire size?  It is listed on your vehicle placard, which is usually located in the glove box or on the doorpost. My book say the orignal tire size was P185/60R14.
