Tires: trailer tires on a car, proper tires, trailer tires

Hi I'd like to know if trailer tires can be used on a car. I have a Jeep Cherokee and mistakingly had some trailer tires installed on the rims instead of the car tires. Would it be ok to just use the trailer tires on it? The load rating on the trailer tires is 2500 lbs a piece. Whats the difference between trailer tires and car tires anyway?

As a general rule, trailer tires use higher inflation pressures to get their load carrying capcity - so, no, these are not suitable for your vehicle.

I would suggest you get the proper tires for your Jeep and sell the trailer tires on eBay.
