Tires: Standard and XL load tires, michelin pilot sport, tread pattern

Hi!
Can you tell me if its ok to mix standard load and XL load tires? eg, XL load on the rear's and SL on the fronts. (All four tyres will be michelin pilot sport ps2's.)

Obviously the best answer is to have 4 identical tires - same size, same tread pattern, same construction, same state of wear.

Anything less that is not optimal.

But the question you are asking is - in essence - where is the line where things become unsafe.  That's a question I can not really answer.

But before I elaborate, there is one thing I want to clear up.

I am hoping you are not installing SL tires simply because you can't find XL tires.  That would be a safety isssue.

But if you are installing XL's because you can't find SL, that would be barely OK, but you should be wary of handling issues.
