Tires: tire rotation, wheel drive cars, front wheel drive cars

I had my tire rotated, they put the back on front which is cool but when the put the right front on the left back and the left front on the right back i asked is that right because i learned that once the tire goes in one direction it should stay in the same direction or it may cause the belts in the tire to break or deform, is that true.

Deb, That is the correct way to rotate radials tires on front wheel drive cars. There has been so much improvement over the years in tire making that it does not effect the tire breakdown. By doing it the way they did you should get better tread wear.
