Tires: Pressure in XL tyres if instead of OEM, winter tyres, inflation pressure

I've installed Michelin XL winter tyres at Mazda6. Though may be overkilled, but XL should be more reliable for bad roads. However, there are some doubts about inflation pressure. Should I keep the same pressure as recommended for OEM tyres or do XL requires to be inflated slightly higher ?

Did you use a different tire size than the vehicle placard?  If you did not, then the pressure as listed on your vehicle placard is appropriate - although I think for winter tires it's a good idea to add 3 to 5 more psi.

But if the tire size is different than the placard, then I'll need to know what the original tire size and inflation pressure was and what the new tire size is.
