Tires: Tire Width, last four digits, long don

My daughter's tire size on her car is 205R15/70.  She has a couple of new tires in her garage that are 215R15/70.  Can she put 1 215 on her car or 2 215s and have 2 205s?  thanks for your help!

Probably, but you should check the tires for their age.  Look for the letters "DOT".  Near there will be a 10 to 12 digit serial number (both letters and numbers)  The last four digits are the date code in a week/week/year/year format.  So a 5203 would be the 52nd week of 2003.  If the tires have a code that is obviously 3 digits long, don't use the tires - they were made in the 1990's!
