Tires: Plugging A Tire, ford probe gt, 93 ford probe gt

Question
Hi,

I have a 93 Ford Probe GT.

Picked up a nail in my tire (middle, not near sidewall).

Would a plug kit from the auto store be a safe way to fix it? Ive
had this problem before, and always took it to a shop. Seems
most of them just use plugs, and I've heard its easy to do
yourself.

Advice?

Thanks.

Answer
Chris, I have used plugs many times in the past with no problems.  My son fixed his tire last week with one.  You just need to make sure it's not leaking. After the repair spray some soapy water on it to see if it bubbles and Keep an eye on it for a few weeks.
