Tires: Tires, hyundai sonata, inflation pressure

Question
We own a 2000 Hyundai Sonata. The tires have 60,000 and could probably go another 10,000.I maintain the scheduled maintenance and check it religiously(oil, trans, lube, all fluids and 38 lbs.air in town and 36 lbs. on the hwy.)
Can there be a problem replacing the 205/60 R15 90H MXV4 M&S with 215/60 R15 (any brand and possibly quieter).I realize the speedometer will be off about 3-4 miles. My measurements show that I have enough room.Give me your opinion,Please,TIA

Answer
Eno,

I normally say to stay with the original tire size if at all possible.  This is absolutely going to fit and make the car behave the way the vehicle manufacturer intended and tested it.

However there is probably enough room to go up a size and I don't really see a downside, except for the speedometer error.

But there is one thing you should be aware of.  It is better to use more inflation pressure on the highway than in town.  At high speeds, more heat is generated and you want to reduce this by making the tire a bit stiffer and therefore have less deflection.
