Tires: Liberator Tires, michelin tire, liberator tires

Question
Walmart sells this brand. I've been told that this is really a Michelin made tire especially made for Walmart. I'm about to add a set of tires to my 2003 Ford Explorer. I've been running the Michelin tire on this car and really like everything but the price. Size P235 R70 16 run about $150.00 per tire compared to about $75.00 for the Liberator. My main question to you is what I mentioned above. Does a Michelin factory really make the Liberator tire.
Thanks, Bruce

Answer
The Liberator may be made by BFGoodrich or Unaroyl both of which are owned by Michelin. Is it a Michelin tire No!!
Tires are like most things. You get what you pay for. The BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A is not a bad tire.  They run around $100 each at Sam's Club.
