Tires: change of tire size on 2002 lincoln 4x4 navigator, lincoln navigator 4x4, lincoln navigator

Great day to you   I have a 2002 lincoln Navigator 4x4 and the current tire size is 255/75/17  this tire is very hard to find and most dealers do not stock it   Can I change all 4 tires with 265/70/17 as this is a popular size  without any problems to the drive train or ecm/ecu? thank you for your time   Wendell

Changing to that size should not be a problem at all, But you may want to have your computer reprogramed for the new tire size. There is about a 1.4% differance in speed. So when your speedo says your are travling at 60 MPH you are really going only 59.2 MPH. It may be better to leave it alone. This might just keep you for getting a speeding ticket.
