I have a 38' Motor home on a workhorse w22and 8100 engin. Ihave had the drive train reblanced and put automatic blancers on all 4 wheels. I still have this vibration. Any Ideas?
Answer -
Chuck,

I'm not a fan of automatic balancers.  I just can't understand how they could possibly work correctly 100% of the time.  So my first reaction is to remove the balancers and get the tires properly dynamically balanced.

Then check to make sure the wheels pilot correctly on the center hub.

But there are a couple of things that would help diagnose the problem.

Do you feel the vibration in the seat or through the steering wheel?  If it's the seat, then look at what's happening in the rear - steering wheel is the front.  Try rotating the tires around and see if you can change where you feel it.  A bad assembly will cause the vibration to be felt in different locations as you move it and you ought to be able to figure out which one it is.

Neither the seat nor the steering wheel?  Then look for something other than wheel end stuff.

Hope this helps.

They ( The Chev. Dealer) put on a viberation computer it said that there was no problem with the trans and aft. When I rotated the tires the vib stayed. Could it be comething other then the tires?
Thanks Chuck

Answer
Chuck,

If the vibration didn't change when the tires were rotated, then it is probably something else.  That would explain why the drivetrain was rebalanced.

If I were you,I'd start looking at brake components and i would start taking a more active role in the diagnosis.  Having someone else perform these tasks puts you in the position of being a bystander.

Hope this helps.
