Tires: TRUCK TIRES, rear tires, truck tires

I HAVE A 91 TOYOTA MOTORHOME. (1 TON CHASIS) I DON'T KNOW HOW OLD THE TIRES ARE, THE CAMPER IS USED. ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCAISIONS THE TREAD PEELED OF ONE OF MY REAR TIRES. THEY SEEM DRY ROTTED. IS THIS NORMAL FOR TIRES TO DO THIS? THE TIRES ARE SUMATUMO 185 R 75 14

If the tires are dryrotted that bad then yes they can peel off even when your driving it which can be really dangerous half of the time they blow before peeling.Tires that old most will do that or bust on the sidewall which you can see the cracks in them or the thread.  To be able to findout how old a tire is look for the DOT that is on the sidewall and you will see some letters on it and near the end you will see 4 numbers the first 2 numbers tells the week it was made and last 2 is the year..  Hope this helps
