Tires: replacing tires, tire dressing, slow leak

Question
I have a 2001 saturn 7 live in so fla.  I have been told that the heat can dry the tires & they should be replaced.  I have  almost 18000 miles & do mostly local   driving 7 would like to know ifit is advisable to replace the tires.

"If this dry on the tires mean it's dryrotting from the heat or tire dressing will cause that or not driving the car much will cause it to do that. If you notice any cracks in the sidewall i would replace them soon as possible because it could blow on you while driving or a annoying slow leak which isn't worth fixing but discard and replace them.
