Tires: tire inflation, air compresser, wheel barrow

Question
A real nuisance to me Barry.  My wheel barrow for home use has an inflated front tire.  The tire won't hold air as it is separated from rim, I have taken it to Goodyear 2x and a small auto repair shop once.  How in the world can I get the bead back.  I was advised tryiing to burn ether in the tire to force it; a tube; fix a flat canned air;  I am not a mechanic as you can see and I don't use the W/barrow that much either but am stuck here.

Answer
Bill,

I had the same problem.

First, the long term solution is to buy a tube, which you can find in either a store that carries garden supplies (Lowes, Home Depot), or a store that specializes in mechanical stuff (Tractor Supply, Northern Hydraulics).

However, in the short term, a belt tightened around the circumference of the tire should force the beads apart.  Having an air compresser helps.  It might take a few tries to get the beads to seal and it might take some real tension on the belt.  This worked for me.

Hope this helps.
